Know your rights / Red flags

OnlyFans agency red flags.

Ten warning signs worth stopping for. One of them is a reason to ask questions; several together are a reason to walk away.

The red flags

  • They want your password. A fair agency can work without your login, email, two-factor codes or payout details.
  • Guaranteed income. Nobody can promise what fans will spend. “Earn X a month, no risk” is a warning sign, not an offer.
  • The commission is not in writing, or it changes depending on who you ask.
  • A long lock-in with no clear exit: a long minimum term, long notice, or a penalty for leaving.
  • Fees to join, or fines for missed targets or late replies.
  • They take ownership of your account, your content or your name and likeness, including the right to make copies of you without your consent.
  • They pay you late or unpredictably and cannot say when you will be paid.
  • Pressure to sign today, or to skip the contract “for now”.
  • No company name, address or contact beyond a chat handle.
  • They tell you not to talk to anyone about the deal.

What to do with a red flag

Write down what you were told, ask for it in writing, and run the contract through the contract checker. If an agency refuses to answer in writing, you have your answer. You can also report a problem confidentially.

Questions

Is a high commission always a red flag?
Not by itself. What matters is what the percentage is calculated on, what is included, and what else you are charged. Use the commission calculator to compare offers.
Is it normal for an agency to ask for my login?
A fair agency does not need your password. See the page on account access for safer ways to work together.
Where can I report an agency?
You can report confidentially, and anonymously if you prefer, through the Above Board report page.
